"Turn It On" is the 2010 sophomore album from actor, director, singer and songwriter Kevin Costner and his band Modern West. Prior to achieving major success as a film actor, Costner grew up with a deep love for and interest in music. Modern West began after Kevin's wife, Christine, encouraged him to reconnect with his love of music. The album is a mix of true Roots Rock ala Bruce Springsteen and traditional Country music. Kevin is no longer just a Hollywood icon but a sympathetic musician full of passion and feeling.
"Turn It On" certainly doesn't sound like a movie star's vanity project. It's contemporary Americana set against a Western backdrop.
