World of Work

World of Work is a practical course for adult learners which meets all the unit standards in the Economic and Management Science learning area at NQF Level 1 and contributes towards their achievement of nationally recognised accreditation. World of Work consists of the following modules: entrepreneurship, contracting, economics, management, and accounting. Together these modules cover the full range of skills and knowledge that adult learners need in order to function as effective business-minded individuals. The course explores ways of empowering learners both inside and outside the classroom by enabling them to identify the procedures for starting and maintaining a business enterprise. It also provides learners with knowledge about different economic systems which allows them to evaluate the best models of production within the South African context.
