He's back . . . Private investigator Harry Bosch confronts a villain who's long been in hiding - a fiend known as The Poet. Former FBI agent Rachel Walling is working a dead-end stint in South Dakota when she gets the call she's been dreading for four years. The Poet is back. And he has not forgotten Rachel. He has a special present for her. Harry Bosch is adjusting to life in Las Vegas as a private investigator and a new father. He gets a call, too, from the widow of a friend who died recently. Previously in his FBI career, the friend worked on the famous case tracking the killer known as The Poet. This fact alone makes some of the elements of his death doubly suspicious. And Harry Bosch is heading straight into the path of the most ruthless and inventive murderer he has ever encountered. . .

Top-class Connelly, One of Connelly's best, with some speculation as to Harry's future plans in a lonely world. The good news is that the LAPD want him back on a short-term contract. Readers may want to join in the celebrations, Connelly is a crime writing genius, His methods of killing and eluding detection are infernally ingenious, adding an intellectual charge to the visceral kick of the hunt, While the themes of Connelly's LA crime novels are familiar (power, envy, corruption), his plotting is anything but

I was truly blessed to hear this book read aloud by the author herself. As a teacher, I have to give Refiloe five stars as she held those six year old's in the palm of her hand. If any of you know children, you know they have the concentration of a flea! The children, however, were spellbound, for just under a hour. When I reflected back on how successful the author's visit was I realized, it was the content of the book that captured their hearts. Every child could relate to one or other theme that was addressed in this beautifully illustrated book. If truth be told, it was also magnificently presented. Refiloe is a dynamic orator. Many more schools need to have her books on their library shelves and allow her to grace them with her presence.
